Born in Armenia in 1983, self-taught artist.
Changes around us are constant. We have created the greatest comfort for human beings to date; (in certain parts of the world) everything revolves around us and everything comes toward us.
The idea is that the painting comes to the viewer.
My approach to creating is very simple and very complex at the same time.
The intention is that the work does not lose its appeal over time, remaining interesting and eye-catching.
Over time, I have developed a new contemporary technique, which I like to call "Picselazum." It involves not only painting on the canvas, but also pushing the paint from behind, making it emerge from the canvas toward the viewer, shaping it into pixels, thus uniting the images in an illusion. As the paint emerges from the canvas, it creates a special texture, visible and tangible. This reflects light in a different way, creating depth and a unique expression. When moving around the work, variations will be observed that is, a three-dimensional impression is achieved. Even on small surfaces, monochrome color manages to have its own shadow and shine, making the paint and color more intense and expressive.
Picselazum allows me to create up to three images on the same surface. The first is painted on the canvas. Then the pixels are made to emerge. The second is painted above the pixels. And the combination of the two images creates a third one(a product of our perception).
Picselazum is a very different technique from existing ones and, at the same time, interactive. Therefore, the perception of the image depends on the direction of the light and the color (and also its intensity). The viewer's position and mood also influence the perception of the image, as does the use of filters that further intensify it.
Each painting created with the Picselazum technique is unique and uncopyable, even for me. Since the canvas and the paint are handmade, the slightest variation in the creation process produces different results. Even the humidity in the air can cause pixels to move from one side to the other as they leave the canvas.
I like to think that pixels are as individual as we are, and that together they create a complete image, a unity. Therefore, the next work will not be the same..
My small contribution to open new roads in art world.
